  • List content — titles, descriptions, item details, locations, and status information for punch list items
  • Photos — images uploaded to document punch list items

Information Collected Automatically

  • Access timestamps — when shared links are used, we record the last viewed time
  • Activity logs — actions taken on lists (e.g., item created, status changed) for audit purposes

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
  • We do not use analytics or advertising trackers
  • We do not collect IP addresses for profiling
  • We do not require account creation or passwords

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

  • Operating the Service — storing and displaying your punch lists, items, and photos
  • Sending notifications — emailing signed access links and activity notifications to the email addresses you provide
  • Maintaining access control — generating and verifying signed URLs to manage who can view and edit lists
  • Improving the Service — understanding usage patterns to fix bugs and improve reliability

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond the operation of the Service itself.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Legitimate interest — to operate and provide the Service as you would reasonably expect
  • Consent — by using the Service and providing your information, you consent to the processing described in this policy
  • Contractual necessity — processing needed to provide the Service as described in our Terms of Service

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate LastBlueTape:

  • Cloudflare — provides hosting (Cloudflare Pages), database (Cloudflare D1), and file storage (Cloudflare R2) for the Service. Your list data, photos, and associated information are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
  • ForwardEmail — handles email delivery for notifications and access links. Email addresses and notification content are shared with ForwardEmail for delivery purposes only. ForwardEmail Privacy Policy
  • Stripe — processes payments for list upgrades. When you upgrade a list, your payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe Privacy Policy

These third parties process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

5. Cookies and Tracking

LastBlueTape does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. We may use functional cookies only as strictly necessary for the Service to operate (e.g., maintaining session state if needed in the future). We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as the associated punch list exists on the Service. Specifically:

  • List content and photos — stored until the list is deleted by the owner or until you request deletion
  • Email addresses — stored as long as the associated share or notification setting exists
  • Activity logs — stored for the lifetime of the associated list
  • Free list expiration — free lists expire after 90 days. Expired list data is preserved and can be restored by upgrading to a paid plan

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit)
  • Access to lists is controlled through cryptographically signed URLs (HMAC-SHA256)
  • Data is stored on Cloudflare's secure infrastructure
  • No passwords are stored since the Service uses token-based access

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — you can request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — you can request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability — you can request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — you can object to the processing of your data
  • Restriction — you can request that we limit how we use your data
